How we got here
How we met
In 2017, a mutual friend introduced us virtually, convinced that we might just be the kind of people who would like each other. But timing, as it often does, had other plans. Femi had just come out of a relationship and wasn’t looking for anything new, so we stayed in each other’s orbit as friends, allowing life to unfold at its own pace.
Our first date
Seven years later, in February 2024, we finally met in person.
What was meant to be a long awaited first date quickly became hours of conversation, laughter, and the wonderful discovery that talking to each other felt remarkably easy. There was no awkward beginning, no trying too hard, just two people who somehow felt as though they had picked up a conversation they had started long ago. Before the evening was over, we had already planned the next date.
And then came the dates. And more dates. Somewhere between the laughter, the long conversations, the little moments, and simply enjoying being together, friendship began to bloom into something deeper.
What started so quietly became something neither of us could ignore.
When we became official
In January 2025, we made it official, beginning the new year by choosing each other, intentionally and wholeheartedly.
The proposal
Then, in 2026, came the question that would change everything. In keeping with the intimacy that has always been so special to us, the proposal was thoughtfully planned as a surprise, creating a beautiful and deeply personal moment for just the two of us. It was a quiet celebration of the love we had built and the life we were choosing to build together. And, of course, there was a very special question, one that was answered with a joyful yes.

And now, almost two years later, our story is arriving at one of its most beautiful moments.
We are gathering our favourite people, making promises with full hearts, and stepping into the next chapter hand in hand. What began with a friend saying, “I think you two might like each other,” has brought us all the way here, to the altar, to our “I do,” and to the beginning of forever.
We found each other in friendship, fell in love somewhere along the way, and now we are ready to make it official, surrounded by the people we love, with our hearts full and forever ahead of us.
This is our next chapter. This is our beginning. This is our wedding day.
