A picture is worth a million memories… or at least, we think that’s how they say it. 😂❤️

For us, our official journey as friends started with a picture being taken. But unofficially, our story had actually begun a little earlier.

We first met in 2018. We attended the same school and, at the time, the same church as well. Whenever there was a camp meeting, all the branches would come together, and apparently, Ifeanyi was not very hard to miss.

After all, he was a young, fine Pastor. 😂

But honestly, there wasn't much to our story at the time. We said our hellos, exchanged a few words here and there, and went our separate ways.

We weren't friends... yet.

Then came 2020.

We met again at the Lagos branch of our school fellowship. We crossed paths a couple of times, but it was still just the occasional "Hi" and nothing more.

Until one particular Sunday.

Chika and her friend needed someone to take their pictures and, conveniently, Ifeanyi was right there.

So, he took the pictures.

Then came the interesting part...

Ifeanyi asked Chika for her number so he could send the pictures to her. 😂

And yes, he actually did send the pictures!

But somewhere between sending pictures and having conversations, something else began to happen.

We became friends.

At the time, a relationship wasn't really on the agenda for either of us. We were simply two people who genuinely enjoyed each other's company.

And that friendship grew... beautifully.

Over the years, we became really good friends. Our conversations could go on for hours. And when we say hours, we mean hours!

Thankfully, we even have screenshots of our ridiculously long call times to prove it. 😂

Our friendship became deeper, our bond became stronger, and somewhere along the way, Ifeanyi realised that he couldn't keep pretending that what he felt was just friendship.

So, he finally told Chika how he felt.

And Chika?

Well... she was dramatic. 😂

Her first reaction was basically:

"Why did you wait so long?"

But thankfully, the drama didn't last too long because, truth be told...

Chika was feeling the boy too. 😂❤️

And just like that, a journey that began with a simple picture blossomed into something so much more.

A beautiful love story built on genuine friendship, shared laughter, countless conversations, beautiful memories, and two people who slowly—but surely—found their way to each other.

What started with a picture became a friendship.

The friendship became love.

And that love has grown into one of the most beautiful parts of our lives.

Our story reminds us that sometimes, the best love stories don't begin with love at first sight.

Sometimes, they begin with a simple "Hi"...

And sometimes...

They begin with someone asking for your number to send you pictures. 😂❤️

And that is how our beautiful journey began.

Then on the 30th May 2026, Ifeanyi asked Chika the big question, "Will you marry me"? and she said yes. Best day ever...
